I couldn’t feel my feet and my hands while walking through the hallway that leads to a conference room of DZMM station (ABS-CBN). I wasn’t so sure what I’m getting myself into. All I know was that our (office) director asked my presence, together with my supervisor and another staffer, for a production meeting for our upcoming radio segment which will air its pilot episode very soon (this Saturday that is). We tied up with another government agency who originally hosts the existing radio program. I was a bit shocked because it was my first time to actually sit across and interact with real time executive producer with all the contracts and papers ready, concious that I have loads on my shoulder for this; though I have already experienced delivering a special report for radio when I was in college and had my OJT in GMA Network… it’s different this time. This is the real thing; I really have to put my best foot forward. Since my supervisor and the other staffer have their master classes during Saturdays, apparently all fingers and eyes lead to my direction. And that’s it. I knew at once that I would be responsible for handling our segment. But i am very happy that my supervisor and my director are very supportive. Of course they assured me of their assistance on pitching talking points and other materials that the program would demand from us. Now I just pray that God will give me tons of creativity and confidence.
